PHILOSOPHICAL

Encourage Lacrosse For Fitness Benefits, Outdoor Play Benefits, Social Benefits
Like soccer and basketball, lacrosse is a great sport because it is inexpensive, there are plenty of fitness benefits to the running element of the game and it teaches young kids to "play well with others" which may be the most important "takeaway".

Advocate for seasonal play and multi-sport participation
Lacrosse is a great sport to play side by side with almost any other sport! The motor skills, physical literacy, fitness benefits will all be transferable to other sports and the benefits of other sports will be transferable to lacrosse.

Expose more families to lacrosse at younger ages
In Grosse Pointe and surrounding areas there is definitely a need for more pre-K programming of any kind and more 8U lacrosse programming specifically. As a parent home with a pre-K son for the past 3 years we were always looking for activities during the day to participate in.

Support Local Scholastic Lacrosse
Scholastic players need to come from somewhere and hopefully the scholastic experience at any and all of the local high schools and other lower schools that have lacrosse can be positive and competitive experiences with a deeper and more experienced player pool.
